Is shipping included?
As a courtesy to you, we will provide you with shipping assistance at no cost. We will arrange all the exit documents in Italy and entrance documents in the U.S. along with clearing the goods through Customs. It is the client responsibility to arrange for unloading of the shipping container at their job site.

What types of wood do you offer?
Our standard wood types for door and window construction are pino di Svezia (Swedish pine) and various types of Mogano (mahogany). We are also very proud to offer more specialized woods such as castagno (chestnut), cipresso (cypress), frasino (ash) rovere (oak), noce (walnut), gatice (poplar) and more.

Will I need to do a lot of preparation to the
doors and windows once they arrive?
No. The products always come pre-finished and pre-hung with interior and exterior mouldings. You will just need to fit the door or window into the opening and install the handles. Some more specialized items such as Lift and Sliders (large multi panel sliding doors) will require more attention.

Do you offer any installation assistance?
On bigger projects there is an option to send one of our top technicians from Italy to help guide and oversee installation. Generally installation is not part of our service, however, we will provide you with information, photos and an informative CD to help guide you. (Vitruvian takes no responsibility for installation issues)

Do all your products come with tilt-turns?
The tilt-turn feature is a very practical and energy saving feature that can be added to most door and window units.

Can I get a cladding?
Vitruvian offers a fine aluminum or bronze clad product available in many colors.

How do I size my doors and windows?
We suggest that you consult a licensed architect or contractor for sizing assistance. There are state and local codes that must be adhered to for sizing that Vitruvian is not responsible for. All doors and windows are sized and ordered in outside frame dimensions (outer jamb dimensions).

Can I get interior shutters on doors and windows?
Interior shutters are another optional and energy saving feature that can be added to most French doors and windows. There are many custom features for interior shutters (scuretti), like raised or flat panel, bi-folding and torchetto bolts. ** The Interior shutter is one of many great features which differentiates our products from the rest of the market.
